IBIZA MISTAKES

The only year in a decade when I didn’t make it to Ibiza to photograph for my project there was 2008. There were a few a reasons for this, mainly to do with being completely skint. I still wanted to produce work though and I tried to do this as cheaply as possible by recycling existing material and utilising a few basic tools such as desk-top scanner, printer and photocopier. The year before when I had been printing selects from my 2007 trip to Ibiza my printer had dried up and while attempting to clear the heads I had ended up with 11 faded and banded blue prints. I really liked how they looked at the time as they seemed to say more about the work than I had previously achieved with conventional printing. I returned to them the following year and reworked them on a black and white photocopier.
